Cuando Avispón estaba recién en la etapa de prueba, consistía de cinco partes: la parte central y cuatro laterales, cada una debajo del nivel de la unidad central, y a cada lado estaban las vías. Luego Avispón cambió a su estado actual debido a su diseño muy futurista y las complejidades asociadas a la gravedad y la tracción.
